Shuffle, Repeat

This is the first book that I have read by Jen Klein and I enjoyed it!

June just wants to get out of high school and go off to College to get on with her life. She sees high school as an inconvenience and doesn’t matter. Oliver is loving high school. He is totally in his element. While Oliver takes June to school every morning they find that they don’t have much in common, but enjoy a little competition.

I really enjoyed the banter between these two characters as well as with June’s group of friends. Jen, I think has quite a good sense of humour. Her writing is easy to read and get into, plus she describes teenagers, I would say, very well!

The characters were in-between 2D and 3D, which for this style and genre of book is pretty good. It made them enjoyable and realistic enough that you could relate to their good and bad times.

At the time that I picked this book up, I had just read a high fantasy and wanted something easy to read that I would enjoy. This definitely wasn’t the jam-packed fantasy novel I had just finished and fitted what I needed perfectly!

If you are looking for an relaxed reading style, with a cute romance and funny moments, then I seriously recommend picking this book up.
