We have all established that I love Layla’s books. So, you can just guess that this review is going to be full of good things! Do I really need to say more? Probably not, but I will.

As the 5th book in the Bennett Family series, we got to spend some time with the hot, Christopher Bennett, who is the identical twin to Max (book 4). We also get to meet the strong willed, Victoria Hensley, guardian of her 3 siblings after her parents’ recent death.

I found this story heart-wrenching adorable. Victoria is doing everything she can to prove that she is the right person to be looking after her siblings, all whilst falling in love with a very rich and handsome Christopher, who just wanted his new apartment to be made more like a home.

Layla just knows how to suck me right into her books. I had just finished reading A Court of Wings and Ruin after a reading slump, and I knew that if I tried to read another high fantasy I would sneak back into another slump. Of course, I had a’ light bulb’ moment and picked up this book. Just the right thing to do!

With Layla’s hot sex scenes, laugh out loud moments and even times when I just wanted to cry, they were either just too cute or emotional. In the emotional moments, I knew Layla had to get us out of them, but I couldn’t quite see how.

For a quick read, you could binge read all her Bennett Family series so far and just have the joy of spending a week in their world, falling in love with each member of the family.

I totally melt for this series and recommend picking it up, just to make you smile and feel on top of the world!
