As you will start to gather, I LOVE Layla’s The Bennett Family series, and her third book did not disappoint!

Pippa Bennett is the eldest sister in the Bennett family and hasn’t had much luck with guys. Her messy divorce said everything – not that it was her fault at all. This was all until Eric Callahan and his daughter, Julie, arrive into her life.

Pippa is a strong independent, funny, and a little sassy, woman, who anyone in their right mind would love as a friend and more. Sadly, Pippa doesn’t see herself the way others do. I want her as my BFF, 100%!

Eric, a widow, trying to bring up a 12-year-old daughter, who really needs a female figure in her life, is gorgeous – in both personality and looks! Of course, like everyone he has his downsides, nicknamed ‘the shark’ with business partners, and tries to hide is affectionate side for his daughter to the public to make sure his reputation isn’t tinged. Pippa has the luck most of the time, of being able to see the affectionate and possessive side.

Layla ‘out-did’ herself this time with this story. With the quick banter, laugh out loud moments, making me cry – yes, cry!! and hot steamy sex scene, you couldn’t ask her to do more.

I love the fact that we get to see how the other couples in the family carry out their relationships, and how the family bonds so well together, plus the bringing in of ‘adopted Bennetts’. Can I be an ‘adopted Bennett’? Pleeease!

I always know that if I pick up one of Layla’s books, I will come out of it smiling. If you love a happy ending, a quick read and something that will put a smile on your face, this is definitely the series for you!
