By Your Side

For my first Kasie West experience, I couldn’t ask for better. This book had me hooked – I am a total sucker for a good YA romance/contemporary, and this didn’t disappoint.

By Your Side came out early this year. I had heard a lot through the grapevine about it, and had to have it as soon as it came out – and read it straight away. I finished it in less than 24 hours! I now can’t wait to get the other books that Kasie has kindly granted us through the past few years!

Autumn Collins and Dax Milner got stuck in a library over a long weekend and somehow had to survive with lack of food, no phone service and in each other’s company.

This book was fast paced, funny (actually had me laughing out loud), and so darn cute! There were times in this that I really had no idea how things were going to fit. I found that for a YA romance/contemporary there were a few heart stopping moments – I really enjoyed that, it made it much more intense.

Autumn, who suffers with anxiety attacks, doesn’t stop having them just because she meets Dax – and that’s refreshing. Yes, he helps her relax, but the disorder isn’t just fixed, which is much more like reality – these things don’t vanish like that. Dax does things to help to reduce the issues and he supports her.

I can’t say anything other than I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down. If you want a book that is quick, easy, puts a smile on your face and is an adorable love story, this is the book for you! Stunningly cute.
