The Cursed Child was a totally different type of writing than I am used to, but I really enjoyed it. I found the script style refreshing.
I have heard many people disagree as they were expecting it to be a book not a play (like Shakespeare), but personally I went into it knowing what it was – a script – and enjoyed it for just that!
It was quite a while ago that I read the Harry Potter books and saw the films (too many times to count) so it was nice to have this magical world back in my life with a different story to tell.
At points I did wonder where the story was taking me and where clues were going to lead. I kept my mind totally open using my own imagination which is what I believe this book needs.
I loved the fact that we got to see Albus Potter and the rest of the family after so many years, and how the world had changed was brilliant. I found that I liked Harry making a mess of things and showing that he really isn’t perfect, which we all know but seem to forget.
This was really enjoyable and worth the pick-up for all Harry Potter fans!
