The Mirror of Her Dreams

By Stephen R. Donaldson

Publisher: Voyager HarperCollins Publishers     Pages: 658

Rated: 4.5 stars

The Mordant’s Need duology has to be my favourite of all time! Set mainly in a different world with magic, castles and romance

The Mirror of Her Dreams is the best start to this story. It is a complicated read that has so much depth. The magic system and the concept of this story was a great idea and a ‘can’t put down’ read.

I instantly feel in love with the characters, especially Geraden, clumsy, cute and totally heart breakingly loyal. Terisa, the heroine, is shy and bit by bit through the book you see how much she grows. All of the characters are 3D, there isn’t one of them that is flat.

Yes, this book was first published in 1986, but the story hasn’t been tarnished by time.
