Anyone who knows me knows I am obsessed with Katie Fforde’s writing as a whole.
Living Dangerously is Katie’s first book and has to be my favourite, not that I don’t love all of her books. Polly Cameron, who is the heroine of this story, is so relatable; a very bubbly character who doesn’t have everything going for her. At the beginning of the book she meets David Locking-Hill, who I have to say I instantly fell in love with and want one of my own. Brooding, slightly unsure of himself and of course “Drop-dead Gorgeous”.
Through the book you see both characters make mistakes which, of course, don’t go down well on either side at times. Both Polly and David grow in confidence in their own ways, especially Polly with her pottery (which I really want to have a go at and start as a hobby now).
Living Dangerously is a really good, easy going read that will bring laughter, love, a little heartbreak and a smile to your face. What more could you ask for?
