A Court of Thorns and Roses

By Sarah J. Maas

Publisher: Bloomsbury   Pages: 416

Rating: 4 stars

As many of us know Sarah J. Maas has a talent for words and this book is no different.

A Court of Thorns and Roses I found was a good re-interpretation of Beauty and the Beast, which is one of my favourite Disney films.

Sarah has managed to totally twist the story of Beauty and the Beast and yet, the general stages are the same. I enjoyed the way that she made it much darker and more adult.

I found that by just over half way, I was totally gripped and wanted the secrets that you know are just within grasp to be revealed. Feyre and Tamlin, the main characters, grew on me as I got to know them, just like real life.

Overall a lovely re-telling of a heart-warming story and I can’t wait to get stuck into her next book A Court of Mist and Fury.
